Non-Executive Technical Director Vacancies 2021

The Board of Directors of the IRM governs the organisation. It oversees the setting of strategic direction and aims, and sets the Institute’s values and standards.

Directors are expected to attend five half-day Board meetings annually, a two-day strategy event and an Annual General Meeting as members of the Board. Depending on your skills, knowledge, experience and willingness, you may be asked to serve on a main board specialist sub-committee. As a suitable candidate, you will have experience of collective decision making at an executive or strategic level and be committed to high standards of conduct and integrity in and outside of meetings.

Technical Directors play a key role in the balanced development of our business as well as its strategic direction, and are chosen for the skills needed by the Institute at any particular time. We are currently looking to attract non-executive directors with a combination of the following skills of a technical and specialist nature:

To help us drive the digital dimensions of our work, we are looking for tech-savvy, commercially-minded individuals with experience of the digital transformation of products, services and processes to better serve global customers in a dynamic and rapidly changing competitive environment.

To support our international business development strategy, we are looking for commercially aware and driven individuals who can think creatively about developing the IRM’s existing opportunities in new ways, finding new routes to market for our training and qualifications, and who can demonstrate proven success in developing and building relationships.
