Studying for the Diploma

The first 2 modules of the Diploma make up the International Certificate. You will need to register and successfully complete the Certificate before progressing to Modules 3-6 of the Diploma.

Studying for a professional qualification is a rewarding experience. However, we recognise it can be a challenge balancing distance-learning study, work and family commitments. To make your studies as straightforward as possible, we provide a comprehensive support package.

You will receive a study pack of your essential textbooks for the modules you have enrolled for approximately 2 weeks after your application form and payment have been processed.

‘The Study’ – Online student support area

The Study provides you access to:

Student handbook

The handbook contains a range of background, guidance and key information that you will need for successful study and qualification.

Study guides

These lead you step by step through the modules in a series of carefully planned units and provides self-assessment questions to help you master the subject matter.

Discussion forums

Our discussion forums provide a valuable opportunity to network, share ideas and learn from other students. They can also help you identify other students in your own area to set up local face to face study groups.

Module coaches

Our coaches review the discussion forums and pose questions, challenges and facilitate discussion amongst students. Where common questions or themes arise, they will attempt to answer these.

Risk in the real world webinars

These are delivered on real-life case studies to help bring your studies to life.

Revision webinar

A revision webinar for each module will run in April for the June exams and September for the November exams.

Specimen examination papers

The specimen paper is a valuable revision tool. You are recommended to complete it under examination conditions.

Local study groups

We know studying a distance-learning course without lectures or tutors can sometimes feel isolating. Setting up a local study and networking group in your area enables you to set up your own agenda, meet as often as you need and keep each other motivated. If you would like help in setting up a group, please contact our student services team on
