Nuclear SIG webinar - Supply chain risk

The theme of the webinar is ‘supply chain risk’ and is aimed at Risk and Supply Chain professionals. While it is being run by the Nuclear SIG, it is not specifically aimed at the nuclear industry and would be open to all industries.

We aim to encourage positive collaboration between the risk profession and supply chain colleagues.

The format of the event will be:

  • Welcome & introduction

  • Keynote speaker - Steven Morgan, author of Global Contract Logistics.

    Steven is a retired US Navy rear admiral and a veteran of the US nuclear submarine force and the Navy's Acquisition Corps. In the UK, he was Ministry of Defence's Commercial Director and in that role was responsible for the training, qualification, mentoring, and deployment of Commercial professionals throughout the MoD in collaboration with the Defence Academy. Prior to MOD, he was Capital Programmes Director for BAA at Heathrow, where he was responsible for major projects including Terminal 2's design and construction, a biomass to energy plant and the airport's procurement function. He has previously worked at Sellafield as Director of Commercial and Contract Management.

High level areas of discussion will cover:

  • What are our biggest supply chain risks?
  • How can we collaborate across the supply chain to enable better understanding and management of risk?
  • How do we build resilience in the supply chain?
