BACKGROUND

Alex Hindson is Risk Services Manager of AstraZeneca plc and is responsible for managing the risk reporting processes associated with Corporate Governance reporting for the Senior Executive team and Audit Committee. Responsible for developing and delivering of risk assessment techniques supporting the procurement of group insurance programmes with particular emphasis on supply chain risk management.

Previously he worked within AstraZeneca as a senior process engineer and production manager with particular responsibility for business interruption management.

Alex tutors part-time at the University of Bath on risk management and is author of the Environmental Risk Management module of the MSc. Integrated Environmental Management course. He is a graduate of the University of Nottingham (M.Eng. Chemical Engineering) and University of Bath (M.Sc. Integrated Environmental Management). Chartered Engineer and Member of the Institute of Chemical Engineers (I.Chem.E), Associate of Institute of Environmental Management & Assessment (IEMA).


Cath Geyman is a Technical Risk Advisor in the Risk & Insurance Group of AstraZeneca plc and is responsible for aspects of the implementation of an enterprise wide risk management framework across AstraZeneca. Responsible for developing and delivering of risk assessment techniques supporting the procurement of group insurance programmes with particular emphasis on supply chain risk management.

Previously she worked within AstraZeneca as a project engineer with particular expertise in project management of complex pharmaceutical equipment and facilities. She is a member of AIRMIC, The UK Insurance and Risk Managers Association; UK Institute of Electrical Engineers and the Royal Society of Arts, Manufacturing & Commerce. Cath is a graduate of Imperial College of Science & Technology (B.Eng. Electrical Engineering) and University of Manchester (M.Sc. Pharmaceutical Engineering Advanced Training) and is a Chartered Engineer.
