Notes

  1. The joining fees for those applicants who are new to the IRM.  This rate applies to those applicants who have been granted a non-standard exemption from the IRM diploma and do not have to sit any IRM examinations to be eligible for membership.

  2. The election fees for those applicants who have completed an IRM qualification e.g. the IRM diploma or the Certificate course.

  3. The rates shown for those applicants joining between 1 July 2008 and 31 January 2009 cover the subscription period from 1 July 2008 until 30 June 2009. 

  4. Advance payments The rates shown for those applicants joining between 1 February 2009 and 30 June 2009 cover the subscription period until 30 June 2010. Thereafter those members will be required to renew their subscription on an annual basis.

Important Information

The subscription year
The subscription year runs from 1 July until 30 June of the following year.

Changing from one category of membership to another
If you are changing from one category of membership to another and you have already renewed your subscription, you only need to pay the balance of the subscription between the old and the new grade, in addition to the above election fee.

What happens if I allow my membership to lapse?
You may rejoin at your previous grade by applying for reinstatement which incurs a fee of £100 in addition to the subscription rates shown in the members’ renewal table above.

Free Affiliate membership to risk management students studying outside of the IRM
Free Affiliate Membership to degree or post-graduate students studying a course which leads to a qualification approved by the IRM, are eligible to free membership. This grade offers all the benefits of membership except the use of a post-nominal.

Risk Forum and free Affiliate Membership to non-members
Non-members who have paid to attend the whole of the 2008 Risk Forum may apply to become an Affiliate for one year free-of-charge. This offer is not available to day delegates for this event.

Low GDP rate

A discount of 15% is available for those members who reside in low GDP countries.
The following low GDP countries list is based on the Human Development Report 2003 published by the United Nations Development Programme:
Azerbaijan, Angola, Bangladesh, Central African Republic, Egypt, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gambia, Georgia, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Moldova (Republic of), Mongolia, Myanmar (Burma), Nepal, Niger, Nigeria, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, Zambia, Zimbabwe.
