Would you like to lead a session at the 2009 IRM Risk Forum?

In 2009, IRM will be responding to the global situation by organising our Risk Forum around the theme of

'Practical Risk Management in a Turbulent World'.  We will be addressing such issues as adapting to climate change, supply chain vulnerability and the global financial crisis.

The Risk Forum team is searching for volunteers to participate in The Learning Zone by leading workshops incorporating these highly topical risk issues, and also on any other key aspect of risk management.  The Learning Zone is a programme led exclusively by IRM members to showcase the talent amongst our membership and to promote our Special Interest and Regional groups, and was hugely successful at the 2007 and 2008 Risk Forums.

The Risk Forum is the IRM's flagship event and will be held at the University of Warwick, Coventry, United Kingdom on Tuesday 22 and Wednesday 23 September 2009 with a welcome evening on the Monday night.  The Annual Awards dinner will be held onsite at the university this year!  The Risk Forum attracts 300+ delegates from a wide range of organisations, both in the UK and overseas, who particularly enjoy the relaxed educational environment that is offered as part of this unique event.

This provides you with an opportunity to share best practice, earn Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points, and if you are chosen to present, it entitles you to either a discounted full delegate place or complimentary access to day 2 of the Risk Forum with the benefit of attending a keynote session and networking opportunities.  The Learning Zone will be held on Wednesday 23 September.

We hope that as an IRM member you will want to contribute to the success of the Risk Forum and for further information on what this involves and how to submit your idea to the Risk Forum team please refer to the attached document.

Please send all completed applications to Catherine Tasker at catherine.tasker@theirm.org by Friday 30 January 2009.
