Global Risk Management Professional Development Forum (21-23 March 2011)
Would you like to give a presentation or lead a workshop at our Global Risk Management Professional Development Forum in 2011?
IRM's Forum is the leading educational event where risk management professionals come together to learn from each other, build skills and knowledge and develop new contacts.
We are now looking for IRM members to deliver presentations or workshops at this event. If you have a project, a success story, a piece of research or knowledge that you would like to share with others then please put it forward. We would especially like to hear from members who can deliver sessions on:
1. Enterprise Risk Management: definitions, tools, techniques, practical application, assurance, governance, culture.
2. Professional competence and the importance of appropriate qualifications and training, including soft skills and ethics.
3. Emerging and potentially widespread risks such as the economy, IT developments, global risks and shifting demographics. We would ideally like sessions on recent events and what we can learn from them, for example, environmental contamination in the gulf of Mexico, air travel disruption or global financial collapse.
4. The connections between risk management and other academic and professional disciplines. We would love to hear from members who can help us offer joint sessions with other institutes and academic bodies.
Please forward your submission to me and if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me on catherine.tasker@theirm.org Catherine Tasker, Events Development Manager
The Forum will be held at Keele University, Staffordshire, United Kingdom on 5 and 6 April 2011. There will also be a welcome evening and pre-conference events on 4 April.
If your presentation is selected then you will receive a free day pass to the Forum for the day of your presentation and also gain 50 CPD points.
Preferential access is given to IRM members presenting on an individual basis but there are also a number of opportunities available for corporate sponsored presentations.
We hope that as an IRM member you will want to contribute to the success of the Forum.
For further information on what this involves and how to submit your idea, please refer to the attached document.
