Risk Management in Practice Workshop Series:

Enhancing Value Creation and Protection through the Integration of Strategic Planning & Risk Management

Business Resilience Group, in partnership with The Institute of Risk Management will be running a one-day workshop on integrating strategy and risk.

Most organisations today are facing an increasing volatile and complex operating environment. The scale, pace and reach of globalisation, new competitive threats, recessionary pressures and toughening regulatory demands are unprecedented and are making the simultaneous execution of strategy and  management of risk extremely challenging. In those organisations where he strategic and risk management activities are conducted in isolation and where risk is a mere after thought to strategy setting, the results can be disastrous.

When the organisation’s strategy is made more robust and realistic through the consideration of the underlying risks and its exaction is effectively measured and monitored, management and the board of directors will have increased confidence that stakeholder value will not only be created but also protected.

Like the navigators of the seas even the best of sailors are still at the mercy of wind and tide. The trick to being a strong navigator is not to fight these effects, but to plot a course in a manner that can take advantage of these macro-forces.

Attend this workshop if you want to enhance you organisation’s capability to successfully create and protect its value strategically.
