Working in IMG’s Risk Management Department, the main responsibility of the Risk Management Advisor is to work as part of the global IMG Risk Management Team to protect and secure the company assets through the prudent use of risk management and insurance.
Reporting into the Department’s Risk Management Executive, the role’s principle responsibilities include: the administration of the company’s insurance programmes (including policies for TV production, property, casualty, business and travel insurance, financial and professional insurance programmes); providing technical and professional advice and guidance on insurance/risk management to all divisions of the company; contribute to the purchase and renewal of annual group insurances; oversee the handling of claims, ensuring effective and prompt handling by insurance service providers, involving some direct negotiations with loss adjusters; development and communication of risk management guidelines; maintaining detailed records on policy coverage, premiums and claims; and assisting with the continued development, planning and design of the company’s Business Continuity Management programme.
Candidates must have: strong experience with a commercial broker or within an in-house insurance/risk management department; a sound knowledge of a broad range of corporate insurances; excellent written and oral presentation skills; an attention to detail; and be competent in the use of standard PC operating systems (including Word, Excel and Outlook). The ability to work effectively and professionally under pressure and to deadlines, showing initiative and working independently on projects is also essential.
It would be advantageous if an applicant was able to demonstrate: previous experience of global insurance programmes, TV production insurance and/or for major sporting/entertainment events would be desirable; membership or qualifications from an appropriate risk management professional body (e.g. The IRM).
