Parsons Brinckerhoff is looking to recruit a Risk Manager to join the London office. The suitable candidate will have experience of working in a similar role within Major Projects and implemented risk management processes and procedures within a large company.
Job Purpose:
You will be responsible and accountable for the risk management of project and business unit within Major Projects and Programmes. You will also monitor and update the risks registers and ensure compliance to PB risk management procedures.
Principal Accountabilities:
• Management and administration of project and business risk registers, ensuring that all risk response plans are executed.
• Project and client risk reporting.
• To run periodic project Issue and Risk Reviews and Qualitative Schedule Risk Assessments, and identifying and escalating issues to the Programme Controls Director.
• Provide leadership and guidance in the concept of risk management, value management and lessons learnt, ensuring their application to all stages of the project lifecycle.
• Ensure that the projects comply with Corporate risk and value management procedures.
• Facilitate risk, value management and lessons learned workshops as required.
• Promote the joint evaluation of risks with sub-contractors to establish a basis for risk sharing and incentives.
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
Essential
• Degree qualified or equivalent in risk management or an economic, business or engineering discipline.
• Excellent analytical skills and highly proficient with MS Excel.
• Expert in all aspects of project and business risk management facilitation.
• Able to explain the results of risk assessments to non specialists.
• Be able to suggest appropriate risk assessments to non specialists.
• Be able to suggest appropriate risk management actions for identified risks.
• Knowledge of risk management techniques.
• Knowledge of project management and project control processes.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Team working and leadership.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Excellent IT skills.
• Proficient with a specialist risk management software, such as Active Risk Manager, @Risk or Pertmaster, to undertake quantitative risk modelling and Monte Carlo simulations
Desirable
• Membership of the Institute of Risk Management or Association for Project Management Risk Practitioner.
• Cost management/quantity surveyor experience or qualifications.
• Project planning.
