Role Summary
We are currently looking to recruit a Risk Management Consultant on a part time on a consultancy basis, working two days a week initially, which will then gradually reduce to two days a month. As the post holder you will be based from our head office in London, the Risk Management Consultant will be responsible for safeguarding the organisation, its customers, reputation, assets and the interests of stakeholders by identifying and managing all threats to the achievement of the business objectives.
Key tasks and activities
- Design and implement an overall risk management process for the organisation
- Manage the process of identifying and assessing the risks affecting the business
- Oversee, and in some areas, implement the plan of risk control actions (e.g. business continuity plans)
- Organise appropriate risk reporting, internally and externally
- Ensuring that risk and control assessments reflect the risk profile of the businesses and functions
- Complete risk assessments in respect of changes to business processes
- Analyse and investigate control failures, incidents and issues to determine with senior management whether remedial/mitigating controls need to be implemented
- Design, build and police policies and procedures and progress the organisation to achieve and maintain certification in: Santa Fe Group’s “Shared Assessments,” ISO27001 and ISO27002, SAS70 type II
- Implement and maintain a business continuity strategy
- Deploy, test and validate business recovery plans and underlying solutions across the business
- Any other duties as may reasonably be required
Skills and Experience
- Experience and understanding of risk management disciplines
- Professional qualification from the Institute of Risk Management, the Chartered Insurance Institute or another relevant profession highly desirable
- Knowledge and experience of Santa Fe Group’s “Shared Assessments,” ISO27001 and ISO27002, and SAS70 type II highly desirable
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, team working and organisational skills
- Advanced Microsoft Office, including MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Word skills
