Centro is the largest Integrated Transport Authority in the UK. Working in collaboration with our District Partners, our purpose is to transform public transport to drive improvements in the economy, environment and social wellbeing of the West Midlands.
You will ensure the risk and issues management disciplines are fully embedded across the Centro project portfolio. Reviews are undertaken at regular intervals and identification of risk and issues are appropriately mitigated and reported.
Supporting staff to ensure that best practice is always utilised in managing risk and issues to across the Programme Management Team and will ensure that suitable training and development is undertaken across the projects community within Centro to support best practice risk and issues management.
Responsible for undertaking analysis on the risk register and report the outputs at the appropriate level. Regular progress reports to the senior members of the organisation and other areas of the business will also be an essential part of the role. You should be able to demonstrate experience of risk management methodologies, risk identification techniques and of having developed and managed innovative mitigation strategies and should be experienced at undertaking risk analysis including Monte Carlo analysis and schedule risk analysis.
Educated to degree level or equivalent with experience, and preferably suitable qualification, in risk and issue management in a project environment. Ideally, in a public transport environment, e.g. light rail, metro, bus rapid transit and experience in the construction aspects of major projects would be an advantage. It would also be ideal if you have experience of project methodologies such as Prince 2 and Cabinet Office best practice for risk and issue management.
