Based at offices in Redditch and Leamington Spa, the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) is the independent regulatory organization that acts in the public interest to uphold professional standards amongst solicitors and their employees across England and Wales.
Our Board has recently established a Scrutiny Committee to provide us with assurance that we have adequate internal controls in place. These include mechanisms for the management of risk that will enable the Board to respond to material risks to achieving our objectives.
In this brand new role, your challenge will be to help the Committee ensure that the SRA has effective controls in place for operational and financial management and planning, performance and corporate risk management. You will also provide the administrative support it needs to undertake its programme of work, analyse information and collate reports, make recommendations and generally provide high quality advice that will lead to informed decision making.
Educated to degree level or with equivalent experience, you have excellent analytical skills and proven experience of working with Board and Committee structures. Knowledge of internal audit
functions and familiarity with current best practice in control and assurance arrangements are also key. A self-starter who is able to work independently, you also possess first rate communication and relationship building skills.
