Joining the Safe Roads and Casualty Reduction Group within Network Services, you’ll provide assurance, direction and leadership on a variety of safety and risk-related matters for the Highways Agency. This will involve determining policy relating to the safety risk management of highway projects and the development and use of new tools with the Agency’s Safety Management System. You’ll be valued for your advice and guidance, and make a difference at the highest level as you ensure best value for the Agency and maintain safety standards and technical governance. To succeed in this important role, you’ll have extensive strategic experience in safety risk management and analysis, as well as the credibility to make the case for safety at all levels and be an influential source of advice. Excellent project management skills are essential, as is the ability to lead and motivate a team, communicate well and build relationships.
