Leighton has vacancies for suitably experienced and qualified risk managers to join our Corporate Risk Management Team in Sydney.
Responsibilities of the role:
As part of the Leighton Contractors organisational wide risk management programme you would be responsible for providing risk management support to our projects, operations, business units and divisions across Australia and New Zealand.
The role involves:

Bid and major project support

Providing training in risk management processes and techniques

Project and risk management operational reviews
-
Facilitating risk workshops and reviews with projects, operations, senor management teams

Supporting the analysis and reporting of key risks

Presenting our processes to customers, partners and regulators
-
Developing process excellence

Supporting the Leighton Contractors ERM roll out
Requirements:
The ideal candidate should be commercially minded with an ability to foster confidence in our clients and provide risk management advice based around a diverse range of projects and industries. You must have a sound understanding of risk management principles and quantitative assessment techniques. You should be an excellent communicator with strong commercial acumen, able to relate to our clients’ business needs and be able to feedback useful information to all levels of the business. You should have personal impact and the ability to influence but to work sensitively within a variety of corporate environments. You should be self-motivated and be able to work alone, and as part of a team.
Skills and experience required:
The candidate will have been educated to degree level education and have a minimum of 3+ years experience of applying risk management on projects and operations and at a business and strategic level.
Familiarity with Active Risk Manager, @Risk and Pertmaster would be desirable but is not essential.
You should be able to demonstrate an ability to meet deadlines; possess strong planning, organisational, and interpersonal skills as well as strong presentation, facilitation and communication skills.
