As Risk Management Director with American Express you’ll be part of a small team leading and guiding the company to achieve an optimal risk-return balance within our insurance services business, and improve our competitive performance by successfully leveraging our risk / insurance expertise. This is a business critical position which offers full involvement in the following areas: risk assessment, claims analysis and reserving; supporting and guiding the development of insurance products and negotiating partner relationships, and the development and implementation of risk-taking strategies.
Qualifications:
Broad experience of working in a related insurance or risk management role
Experience operating successfully in an international environment
Superb communication, project management and team working skills
Knowledge of statistical or actuarial modelling, claim reserving tools and techniques, direct-marketed insurance products, insurance company underwriting practices, corporate finance concepts and a general understanding of insurance regulations in major markets
Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the U.K. is required for this position.
