The Institute will notify students of their results via post as soon as possible after the examinations, following moderation.
Please note that examination results will only be released to students whose current year membership subcriptions are up to date and paid in full.
Moderation process
IRM has a stringent moderation process for setting and marking examinations. The aim of the Institute's moderation process is to ensure:
- Quality assurance
- Examination papers are set in accordance with principles set by IRM
- Consistency and accuracy in marking each examination paper
Examiner review and feedback report
Students who receive a Fail can pay a fee to receive feedback on their examination script. This service is NOT available for those who achieve a Pass, Merit or Distinction grade.
The examination script will be reviewed by an IRM examiner who will produce comprehensive feedback identifying areas where the student could have improved their performance and answers.
Appeals procedure
IRM aims to ensure that all papers are marked fairly, consistently and accurately. However, on occassion, IRM recognises that a student may wish to appeal against a result given. Students may only use the Appeals procedure once they have requested and received the Examiner feedback report.
Full details of the Review and Appeals Process can be found in the Diploma Support Area. |
